WESTERVILLE, Ohio (AP) — For Donald Trump to win the White House in November, he’ll need the votes of women like lifelong Republican Wendy Emery.
So white suburban women’s votes are more remarkable? Where’s the equality in that?
Yet the 52-year-old from the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio, can’t commit to voting for her party’s presumptive presidential nominee.
“I’m just disappointed, really disappointed,” she said while standing in her arts and crafts shop. She and her circle of friends are “still in shock” over Trump’s success and wonder who’s voting for him, “because we don’t know any of them.”
Emery’s negative impression of Trump was shared by most of the dozens of white, suburban women from politically important states who were interviewed by The Associated Press this spring. Their views are reflected in opinion polls, such as a recent survey that found 70 percent of women have unfavorable opinions of Trump. -Salon
There you have it folks. We can all go home. Dozens of women were interviewed and 70% of them didn’t like Trump.
Ask their husbands who they’re voting for and it nullifies their shitty survey.
I live and work around hundreds of white suburban women and 100% all say they’re voting for Trump and don’t give a goat’s ass what the press has to say about him. Typically white women in the suburbs are working with children. They want to protect what’s theirs. They want a safe place for their kids to grow up and go to school. This will be more likely under a Trump Presidency than another Democrat one and white suburban women know this.
