Hello everyone, welcome to another fine bloody fissures production.
How do you like my new look?
I’m more of a friend of animals than I am of humans, or human like beings, so here I am! I’ll be less limited as a furry. I’m pretty sure I’m now a member of a protected group too.
Many of my favorite writers and thinkers are taking to YouTube, Vidme, Minds.com, and other similar places and replacing their writings with video productions. I have to say I like it. I like it a lot; so much so that only rarely will you see long form posts on Bloody Fissures anymore.
What I’ve discovered, even in my own writing and that of the others who contribute here, is that too many words are being used. Gratuitously. It happens to almost everyone. Even the writers who I’ve followed for a long time do it. Their words aren’t necessarily on the page to describe or inform; they’re there to let people know of their writing prowess or lack thereof. And this irritates me.
I go back and read some of the things I’ve written myself and yes, I’m annoyed. Just too many fucking words.
As far as the direction BF will go, we will concentrate on sharing the genius of those who create things which are meaningful, funny, insightful, and maybe even create some of our own.
The main page will be stocked full of content by mainly independent creators.
The top slider contains stuff by indy creators which don’t work with the playlist software below; places like minds.com, vid.me, and a few others.
The bottom portion contains various categories such as News (which contains content from some main stream media such as Fox, RT, and a few others), Views (which contains content by favorite thinkers and commenters), humor, various genres of music, and even a section which contains free full movies.
Still working on the best way to steer people towards our favorite creator’s support pages aside from just throwing up a list of links. The good news on that front is that a lot of people are saying monetization is returning to their channels, so their needs aren’t as urgent right now. However, YouTube has shown how fickle they can be, so no one can depend on monetization of youtube videos to make a living anymore. Everyone will have to have a plan b.
We hope you’ll like visiting bloodyfissures.com and hope you’ll come back often. We’ve got a few new creators and collaborators who will be showing up and sharing their own brand of genius too.
Soon we’ll tell you how you can register for the site if you wish, participate in chat, forums, and more. This is a little more down the road though.
If you have suggestions for the website please let me know by leaving a comment, or visiting bloodyfissures.com and going to the contact page.
Be well, and stay bloody.
